Harvard’s Tuition Waiver

Harvard Law School announced that it will pay the third year tuition for all future law students who commit to work in public service for five years.  This program will begin with the fall 2008 entering law students.  This program may save some students as much as $41,000.  More than 100 law schools have loan forgiveness programs. One Less Worry Law School Scholarship

Access Group, the nonprofit graduate loan specialist, is giving law students a chance to win a $10,000 law school scholarship.  The law school scholarship requires law students to submit an original video of up to 4 minutes showing what they worry about as law students.  Read more here.

Washington and Lee University School of Law is replacing its third-year academic classes with "experiential" learning that will involve practical simulations, development of law practice skills, and at least one real-client experience. Read more here.

New Logic Games Bible

Powerscore has released its new Logic Games Bible with 70% more content than the former version and new concept discussions. 

Building a Better Legal Profession (BBLP) is a group started by Stanford law students that now alsohas chapters at Harvard Law School and Yale Law School, and a Facebook following of more than 1,000 students nationwide. BBLP is a national grassroots movement that seeks reforms in large private law firms by publicizing firms’ self-reported data on billable hours, pro bono participation, and demographic diversity.  BBLP is concerned the increasing billable hour requirements, the lack of racial diversity and gender equity, decreasing professionalism, and a more dominant focus on the bottom line.  Visit BBLP’s blog here.
