ACADEMIC SUPPORT Having difficulty making the adjustment to law school? Are you trying hard, but just cannot seem to understand precisely what your professors are reviewing in class? Succeeding in law school is not only about intelligence, it is also about having the right skills and effectively using those skills. Knowing when you learn effectively and when you do not learn effectively is one of the most important lessons any student can learn. Although some law school professors are aloof and distant, the academic support professors I know are all engaging, compassionate people. They never question why a student does not understand; all they care about is helping you understand your school work and they are pit bulls about accomplishing that goal. Do not be embarrassed if you utilize academic support, many successful attorneys needed help at some point in their legal studies.
